Indo Asian Fusegear Limited (IAFL), a leading manufacturer of Electrical Switchgear and Energy Efficient Lighting Equipments, recorded a total Income of Rs 67.12 crore for the Q1 FY09 and registered a growth of 20% over the corresponding period of the previous year, despite general slow down.

The EBIDTA stood at Rs 9.05 crore a growth of 12% as compared to Rs. 8.08 crores in the previous year. The net profit stood at Rs. 3.29 crores as against Rs 3.65 Crores in the corresponding period of the previous year, due to higher amount of interest and depreciation.

The revenues from the switchgear business in Q1FY09 were Rs.51.03 crores as compared to Rs 43.74 crore for Q1FY08. The lighting business recorded revenues of Rs 7.50 crore in Q1FY08, as against Rs.7.73 crores in the corresponding period of the previous year. The wire segment recorded strong growth of 95% at Rs. 8,91 crores in Q1 FY09 as against Rs. 4.57 crores.

Exports continued to show a strong growth of 86% and recorded at Rs. 9.30 crores in Q1 FY09 as compared to Rs. 4.99 crores for Q1 FY08.
