A Free Mega CARDIAC Health Camp organised by Chettinad Health City The first of its kind in Chennai to mark the World Heart Day
Chettinad Health City conducted a free Mega Cardiac Health camp in view of the World heart Day on September 20th in Rani Meyyammai Hall (AC), Egmore. This is the first time that a high-end free Cardiac Health Camp was organized in Chennai on a large scale. Chettinad Health city is observing the month of September as a Heart care month to increase the awareness of cardiac diseases and the influence of changing lifestyle trends among the public.

This is the first time that a high-end free Cardiac Health Camp was organized in Chennai on a large scale. Chettinad Health city is observing the month of September as a Heart care month to increase the awareness of cardiac diseases and the influence of changing lifestyle trends among the public.
Honorable Health and Family Welfare Minister, Government of Tamil Nadu, Thiru.M.R.K.Panneer Selvam inaugurated the Health camp and said, “It is an honor to be a part of such a wonderful initiative conceptualised and organised by Chettinad Health City on the World Heart Day. Such camps are powerful means to reach out and encourage the public to come forward and diagnose their cardiac problems from medical experts under one roof.”
Free privileged Health cards for freedom fighters were distributed as a symbol of gratitude towards their sacrifice for our country’s independence. All the public who registered for the camp received a Chettinad Health City privileged Health card. The Health card holder and 4 of his/her dependents will be entitled to discounts on their Medical treatment at Chettinad Health City. The Cardiac camp was a great success as there were 1000+ visitors from different strata of the society who received the expertise services from cardiac specialists of Chettinad Health City.
Apart from this, the visitors also underwent various cardiac tests free of cost such as ECG, ECHO and Blood Tests. On the spot Medical reports and advice was provided to the patients. Experienced Cardiologists and Cardio-thoracic surgeons were at the camp to diagnose and prescribe medical treatments for the patients. General Physicians and other specialty doctors were also available at the camp to assist in other health complications.
On the success of the camp, Dr. Venkat Phanidhar, Chief Administrator of Chettinad Health City said,“We are very glad with the success and the endearing response of the public we have received for the cardiac camp. This gives us the impetus to conduct more of such camps annually to help serve the community in a healthier way”.
