Mumbai-based Micro Technologies Ltd. launched unique software in the city today. The Micro Students Attendance Management System, (SAMS) is an automated system for access, attendance and effective communication.

Micro SAMS has several innovative features such as database management with attendance record of Student and Lecturer remotely from various Locations – across the globe at one single point. The authorised administrator can use the online Micro SAMS to remotely view all the relevant details of all the branches of the Institution. Micro SAMS generates various MIS reports in order to take prompt action related to Attendance. RFID/ Biometric based login and logout for Lecturer, students and guest lecturers with image is captured using webcam for attendance. The system alerts the administrator about the discrepancy. SMS/Email alert to the authorized user. Micro SAMS opens up new and effective ways of communicating critical and important information with minimal time & efforts. The administrator can save the complete information of the students according to the class with their contact details, mobile nos. of their parents etc. and can send a single message to multiple users at one go. Weekly update about the ward’s attendance, performance and intimation to the Parents for important notices through mobile alerts and emails. Integration with digital notice board in the institution premises

HOW IT WORKS:

SAMS is installed on the central server with an internet connection integrated with complete database of student within the institution. Internet is used to upload or download the database files on the server for remote access by the administrator.

· Database creation: A database of the students and lecturer is created on the system. If biometric capabilities are to be required instead of RFID reader, a finger-print database of the every Lecturer and Student can also created.

· Logging in for Lecturer: When the Lecturer walks into the office, he / she can place his / her finger at Biometric Scanner or Flash a RFID card, which then verifies the information stored within the database. Once that is done, the Lecturer attendance is marked and his/her image is captured using webcam.

· Logging in for Student: When the Student Enters the Class they can flash the registered card in front of the RFID Reader which verifies the Student and mark his attendance also capturing his image. Prior to students marking their attendance the lecturer flashes his / her card alerting the system about the subject carried by particular lecturer.
